25 Jan Architecture of the future

Modern architecture is increasingly perceived as a futuristic, often affecting their shapes and sizes. Based on the opinions of experts, we tried to figure out what kind of buildings will surround us in the very near future, and give some examples of buildings “of the future.”

How it all began?

Science fiction writers known for their “prophecy”, long before the Architects of the XXI century, offering their own versions of the architecture of the future in the form of sketches and full of illustrations. Keep them slightly, but nevertheless they are well show how modernity seen in the twentieth century.

In late 1960 in a US magazine published an article in which the author has made the assumption that the houses in the XXI century will be made of “self-cleaning materials and designed according to the type of modules.” To some extent this “forecast” has come true: today all over the world to build houses container (modular building) and eco-homes that do not affect the climate situation.

What is today? A variety of projects and visual projections of the architecture of the future. Here are just a few of them.

Wooden skyscrapers

Danish architects C.F. Møller designed for London and Stockholm skyscrapers made of wood, which are considered the highest of wooden buildings. All constructions were built on laminated wooden boards, thereby creating a solid foundation for buildings. The developers believe that these skyscrapers – is a step into the future and have a lot of advantages: the cost of materials for their construction is much lower virtually no negative impact on the environment and the soil beneath them gives way not because of the lighter weight of the tree.

Architecture in 3D

Buildings are written using 3D printer is no longer a myth, but a very real fact. Chinese developers at Shanghai WinSun Decoration Design Engineering Co first tested this technology back in 2014, just a day typing about 10 houses. But in early 2015 they have perfected the printing and presented several villas and even the five-story building, thus proving that the possibility of such a printer in the near future will only increase. “Tuck” Printer recycled construction waste, which has a positive impact on environmental factors. And besides, this building gives less noise and is more accurate.

Earthmoving home

Another version of the house of the future, and possibly reduce the risk of ecological disaster – earth construction. This type of housing – both greetings from our ancestors, because they built houses of rammed earth. In Australia, this trend is becoming more popular: already built several cottages and earthy Zoo, and in Burundi opened a children’s library. Such architectures also much cheaper, since the purchase of materials does not take a long time. They are all under his feet, we need only to apply to them a sound approach and properly recycled.

Architects of the XXI century are increasingly cease to perceive the house in the usual sense of the word. In the first place there is not only the convenience of living, but also a psychological component. Thus, the firm NBBJ, who worked on the project for the campus of one of the Chinese companies, further attracted to the development of neuroscientists, psychologists and sociologists.

The company is believed, that so they can improve the working conditions of employees, taking into account the individual characteristics of each. Many scientists believe that in the near future will be the architects not only the construction of the problem, but also search for opportunities for the most comfortable livelihood of people in the same building.

Experts predict the widespread use of container houses, which are easy to assemble, and petite, and in addition, adapted to any climate. It is expected and total fascination gardening and landscaping, as well as the combination of the gardens or small farms in the city.

Reconstruction of buildings, which is so often overlooked once again come to the fore, and eco-construction, as can be seen from the above projects will play a key role in the development of the architecture of the future. But We think that will remain and those architects who will embody the amazing and bizarre designs to life, which means that we have to come to expect many more interesting things.

As for the existing buildings, then, as we mentioned in the beginning, they really hit its futuristic pretentiousness.

In Dubai, for example, is dominated by the tallest skyscraper in the world (828 meters) – Burj Khalifa. As a monument to architectural projects that in this city there are with unprecedented speed, but realized only a fraction of them.

Data center Bahnhof – an example of what futurists architecture interested not only in space exploration, but the underground structure. Architectural bureau Albert France-Lanord Architects upgraded bunker left over from the Second World War in Stockholm. Since it is located in the rock, the architects have tried to preserve the pristine style, decorated with its various designer items, increased lighting and decorated with greenery.

The idea to “greening” industrial centers for a long time concerned with more than one generation. Inventors from Singapore went much further by implementing the project “supertree”. They broke into the city a kind of garden – vertical 50-meter concrete trunks completely covered with iron rods (branches), and in the future will be the projection of these trees are twined greens.

And, of course, we can not touch the issue of space. Richard Branson, owner of the company  Virgin, trying to realize the dream of space travel, decided to open in New Mexico the world’s first spaceport. But, alas, no significant investments or work with the best architects and designers did not bring it to translate into reality the brainchild.

Port “America”, which opened in 2012, now works only for tourists and impresses with its size. However, accurate information on possible flights the company can not give. So the building, which appeared as if out of science fiction stories, and blends harmoniously with the surrounding area, has yet to pass the test of time.
