12 Nov TOP 5 BARS WITH UNUSUAL INTERIOR DESIGN
Many of us imagine a typical bar as a place, where people gather to relax after a hard day or week, and the conversation with a glass of something alcoholic. And speaking frankly, do not often pay attention to the execution room, where we are. Therefore, preparing material for the top 5 best interior bars, we have decided to recall that the bar, thanks to designers and artists, can become a creative installation.
Bar Oppenheimer-2 (New York, USA)
Sometimes creative people are like magicians. You never know the idea, that they derive from their hats … or with a suitcase, as did Tobias Rehberger, founder bar Oppenheimer in Frankfurt. Going to a forum of contemporary art Frieze New York in 2013, he decided, that the city, which is known for its commitment to the mixture of cultures, not hurt part of German flavor.
New York City Bar was opened in the hotel Americano (518 W. 27th Street). Interior design Oppenheimer-2 almost everything repeats its “big brother Frankfurt”: size room, proportionality environment. But this is not “complete” copy, because it has one, is quite an interesting feature, that distinguishes it from a German bar.
Individuality concept designer is a combination of classic colors (white / black), a harsh and militaristic style of the Second World War, and to use geometrical figure. Zigzag lines resembling elements of the movement, perfectly visualized the image of modern New York.
It is appropriate to say that a place with such an eclectic mix, collected and continue to collect as representatives of the world bohemians and ordinary visitors.
Bar Twenty Five Lusk (San Francisco)
Another institution of “American citizenship” – a lounge-bar Twenty Five Lusk (San Francisco). It is located on a street, that is known for its rapid pace of life, Lask Elley. For designers plan, bar had become “an island” comfort and coziness, because is so hard to find in a big city.
No doubt, that this idea was brilliantly done! But before the described features of the interior Twenty Five Lusk, make a small excursion into history. At the beginning of the 20th century space bar was common, and almost all of its typical signs: a brick facing, high windows, a large area.
Subsequently, these elements combine inspired the founders of the old buildings in the design and modernity. The latter is reflected in the use of metal and glass decoration (fireplaces, kitchen utensils, construction of the bar area).
Today Twenty Five Lusk – this two-story building, because of their more extensive than the size of the space allocated own a bar, restaurant, and lounge area. With its wooden partitions and walls, bar does not look like clusters of different styles and logically correlated with the idea of designers. In each of the parts dominates its own specificity, interspersed with the usual brutality, but interestingly beaten, given the atmosphere of institution, country.
Bar Chocolate Fountain (Opole, Poland)
Next a place in our top ranked polish bar Chocolate fountain. This design duo studio of designers Bro.kat – Roma Skuzy and Bohny Polanski successfully implemented in 2012.
Chocolate fountain is in the polish city of Opole, which is known for its architectural heritage. It is therefore not surprising that the bar is located in the building of the Baroque era. But its interior a striking contrast with the exterior. During the design bar designers focused on minimalistic style and Silesian architectural school, because consider themselves his followers. Silesians ideological concept was the combination of complex structures with a small number of distinct decoration. Although, in our opinion, Skuza and Polanski something modernized their views.
The first level of the central hall – the dark (black) chocolate drops that seem to flow down from the ceiling. Walls symbolize “white chocolate”. Fixtures its rounded shape is also reminiscent of the drop, but “milk (matte).” Cash, kitchen and room staff made a brown stairs and floor – creamy.
A successful design solution can be considered application modules, was expanded tiny. He expanded small, only 30 square meters, the space of the room.
Interior Chocolate Fountain – a perfect blend of expressiveness and multi-processing, and sincere love for his work, well, of course, sweet.
Bar Le Loungе (Quebec, Canada)
Another representative exciting interior styling – a bar Le Lounge, located in Quebec. Engaged in the design space Jean de Lessard, known for his original ideas (eg, design shops seafood “Nemeau” or Japanese restaurant Kazumi).
He has repeatedly admitted that he likes unconventional and creative approach to problems. Therefore, the construction and operation of Le Lounge, which is quite complex in its parameters, the interior is not an exception among the preferences of the designer.
We should also be said about the key features of his style. First, Lessard are a fan of vivid use of color (maybe a little expressive). Second, often used in decoration and design elements of extraordinary, sometimes combining them in history.
As for the stylistic techniques to Le Lounge bar, then it Lessard based, as we have already mentioned above, the small area of the institution, applied the principle of “room in the room.”
And simply put, it divides into several parts. The first – a kitchen, wooden walls closed deaf, the second – a bar that has a cubic shape, and opposite – his “twin brother.” They are opposite one another, and the impression unfinished geometric shapes.
Favorite contrasting range of colors of the Italian abstractionist Guido Molinari (which, by the way, originally from Quebec) Lessarda inspired to use them at the time of Le Lounge walls and black ceiling has an interesting property “disappear” when the evening light turns on.
Furnishing the first hall recalls the 40-ies, but the second bar Lessard used furniture collection (items) late 50’s. And finally, a few words about the construction of these facilities, which also is bipolar: one of the “boxes” has glass design that gives the effect of visibility surrounding space. Design based on another wooden beam structures that make the bar bigger.
Bar Capitán Central Cervecera (Cordoba, Argentine)
Completes review brasserie Capitán Central Cervecera of Cordoba, but the in Argentine. Design architect engaged Guillermo , which, like the previous artists, originally came to embody ideas.
The appearance of the bar, but before the police station, has the features of urban. In mid-preserved echoes of Art Deco rule: a large hangar space, a lot of concrete, iron and metal structures. One of them – a seven-old pipe that delivers a central (main) building the tower, and there are ways results in peculiar character quarter. With graphics Cacciavillani andehraundnist said institution has placed emphasis on the windows bizarre forms, as well as the maze of the pipeline system that supplies a bar beer, water and light. Pipe system – a reference to the time development of industrial Art Deco, a communications link between several rooms, and as it is sometimes called, skillfully made “communicative installation”.
As for the dressing room, then it is also dominated by elements of industrial aesthetics: almost all the furniture are made of iron, some items – antique wood. In the guest room of concrete used neon lighting that is both the lights on the pipes and on signboards with inscription placed on the walls. But the expression “obsession to create something beautiful” is located above the main entrance, and, in our opinion, best conveys the essence of the atmosphere that prevails in Capitán Central Cervecera.
Each of the bars, mentioned in the review, bears the unique historical and cultural codes, successfully combined with modern interiors. And, perhaps, the trend spread establishments installations will lead to new trends in architectural art.
